  A very friendly establishment. Ourselves and our dogs have always been made to feel very welcome and we love the food. We visited another Somerset pub yesterday of which I've also reviewed on here. The service at that particular establishment was absolutely terrible. My Husband told me we've been well and truly spoilt by The Natterjack Inn. We should've spent our time and money here instead and will do just that in future!

  We dropped our son at castle Cary then decided to visit the natterjack having been recommended by a friend.
  We found a table my husband ordered a drink and asked for a menu. There was no information from the staff regarding the waiting time for service, so we decided on our choice from a tempting menu. We then sat enjoying a good beer, & found ourselves watching the waiting staff bustling past us to other tables, which had arrived after us, taking orders.
  Not​ one staff member acknowleged our presence, even when I said excuse me.
  
  Maybe reserved patrons should expect to be served, but any communication as to whether we should expect a wait, or that they were actually too busy would have been polite.
  
  Having been a pub landlady in Wells, I know some warmth towards ones customers is essential. We felt studiously ignored. Maybe they aren't keen on disabled people,(number of steps may make it difficult for many) but we will not return whatever their problem.
